About Carbon Literacy
An awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.
The Carbon Literacy Trust was formed in September 2013 and incorporated and recognised by the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in March 2014.
Its charitable aim is “to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment” through the dissemination of Carbon Literacy.
The Trust is fortunate in having a board of trustees reflecting a huge depth of knowledge and understanding of climate change and its environmental and economic impacts, of work for the public good and individually, a depth of sectoral reputation and expertise which they each bring to bear in support of its aim.

The programme is giving me the tools to overcome the problems i’m encountering in my busienss right now!
Tim Lord
Managing Director of Linkadek UK
it makes you think more about the business not just from a day-to-day point of view but look at things from a more strategic point of view and challenge your views
Callum Harvey
Technical Manager, Agrimin
The content is manageable and not too in depth, given we also have busy jobs to do around the course. Learning from the rest of the group was one of the best bits, as there was plenty of information sharing about how they are trying to grow their own businesses.
